Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Rance's Chicago Pizza at (714) 708-2143; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. My wife and I decided to go to Rance’s Chicago Pizza in Costa Mesa California today for a late lunch. It was our first time visiting this particular location and I have to admit that we were quite pleased with the entire experience. The establishment was clean, and wonderfully decorated with unique paintings that help you get lost in the environment! Also, it was also easy to find the restaurant using Google Maps, and there was ample parking there to make it convenient and easy to access for everyone. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by Derek! He welcomed us with open arms and instantly made us feel at home! Thanks Derek! Additionally, the entire staff was on point today! This includes Lily and Marlon who graciously catered to us and made sure that our drinks were replenished, our food was on time, and our desires were accommodated! Nicely done you two! It was awesome to watch you both in action, and see you doing so with such pleasure. This made our day! My wife and I smiled as we watched you all collectively take care of us while simultaneously serving everyone else you encountered. It was wonderful to behold. Everyone seemed to genuinely like each other and enjoy worki

I've been coming to this locations 10+ years for their stuffed deep dish pizza. I was stationed at Great Lakes for awhile & I spent a lot of payday weekends taking the train out to Chicago & trying all the deep dish. Since I've been living in Tustin, this has been my go to. You can't go wrong with a stuffed carnivore +pineapple & jalapeΓ±os, cooked well done. The Caesar salad is top tier & the wings are great too–the new Fresno chili sauce they added is fire. Their beer tap selection is also great. Something I would love to see upgrade wise is getting a glass chiller so the beers are served in ice cold glasses. That really elevates the experience while also giving you more time with a colder beer πŸ‘Œ

Rance's Chicago Pizza, located on Baker Street in Costa Mesa, California (with an additional location in Long Beach), is widely considered one of Southern California's premier destinations for authentic, Windy City-style pizza. Rance’s doesn't restrict itself to just one style; instead, they masterfully offer three distinct regional crust variations, catering to different pizza philosophies: Stuffed Deep Dish Pizza: The true showstopper and crowd favorite. A flaky, pastry-like bottom crust is layered into a two-inch deep pan, piled high with heaps of Wisconsin mozzarella and fillings, sealed with a second paper-thin sheet of dough, and finished with a robust, zesty tomato sauce on top. Reviewers frequently marvel at the absurd, photo-worthy cheese pull. Pan Pizza: Built on a seasoned deep-dish pan with a slightly thicker, richer, and more buttery dough recipe, baked until golden brown with the sauce lightly coating the cheese. Tavern Style (Thin Crust): Often overlooked by deep-dish seekers, this is the crispy, square-cut thin crust that Chicago locals actually eat on a regular basis. It's a fantastic alternative if you want something lighter or are ordering for a larger group.

This place got a super unique pizza. They use atleast 5 sticks of butter per pizza I swear, the dough is heavenly. I think I actually the crust over the fillings, call me crazy. Anyways, it's a quality pie, and it's not cheap either like 30$. I'm talking about their inverted pies btw. One or two slices filled my up like a turkey on thanks giving, I was stuffed. Honestly, would I preffer this over some other solid pizza joints? It really depends. Rance's pie is so unique and is reminds me more of a cake than pizza. It's like if you took hella buttery crust and stuffed it with meat and cheese, it's something special. The owners and really everyone there are pretty passionate. If you're around the area try the place. That being said, if you come in expecting a "normal" pizza, you'll probably be dissapointed. Come check it out if you like deep dish stuff.

This Chicago-style pizza place delivers an authentic and unforgettable deep-dish experience. The pizza itself is a masterpiece: the cheese is indeed layered beneath the sauce, creating a unique and delicious flavor profile. The crust is perfectly flaky and packed with flavor, reminiscent of a delicate pastry. Beyond the pizza, the maple bourbon wings are a must-try, offering a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors. With TVs playing sports throughout the restaurant, the wait time for this freshly-made pizza flies by. Overall, this establishment is a must-visit for any deep-dish pizza enthusiast. Five stars!
